Sırrı Süreyya Önder
He was born on July 7, 1962, in Adıyaman, Turkıye. He made his directorial debut with The International, a film produced by BKM for which he also wrote the screenplay. In 2007, The International won the Best Film Award at the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival.In 2012, he co-directed F Tipi Film (2012) and appeared as an actor in Inside (2012). He also worked as a screenwriter on Let’s Sin (2014). Throughout his career in cinema, he continued to share his knowledge by teaching screenwriting and film studies at universities. He wrote the screenplay for A Republic Song (2024). He passed away from a heart attack on May 3, 2025.
