Pilgrim

Reina, a social worker and counselor, is pressing forward with her own outreach program for the unhoused after years of frustration working with her local municipality. While she continues to struggle and coordinate accordingly, she is haunted by the abandonment of her chosen family, Alexandra. Reina and Alexandra grew up unhoused together as teenage girls finding ways to persevere and avoid the traumas of their world around them. Reina finds herself frozen as flashbacks to her childhood with Alexandra unfold before her eyes. Pilgrim is a psychological drama that dives into the generational trauma and forces that shape our lives and often the lives of people we will never see, forging the drive that leads us to fight for another day.
