La cesta (1965)

In a quaint Spanish village, a festive raffle for a Christmas basket takes an unexpected turn when its lottery ticket wins “El Gordo” before the draw. Suddenly, the humble prize becomes a fortune, and Don Carmelo—a greedy local bigwig—will stop at nothing to claim it. With charm, wit, and a touch of satire, this nostalgic comedy unravels a web of small-town schemes, revealing how far people will go when luck strikes early
